Fines and Fees
Our library provides materials free to take home, enjoy, and return with no cost to you. To help keep our shelves stocked with the materials you want, we charge fines for materials that are returned late, materials that are lost or damaged, and for items printed/copied/faxed. Please try to look at these fines and fees as donations to help the library maintain and increase the materials and services we provide to the community. Listed below is a breakdown of the fines and fees.
Fines
- $0.25 per day for adult materials
- $0.10 per day for children’s materials
- $2.00 per day for Videos, DVDs, and LeapPads
Fees
- $3.00 per use for non-members to use the Internet Computers
- $2.00 for first page of fax, $1.50 for each page thereafter
- $5.00 processing fee is added to the replacement cost of all materials lost or damaged
Renewing Materials
- 3 weeks for all materials except videos, DVDs, and Leap Pads
Returning Materials — 3 locations
- Circulation desk in the library
- Book Drop on the side of the library at the parking lot
- Book Drop at the Hermitage City Building at 800 N Hermitage Road.
Reserving Materials
- Request materials that are currently unavailable to be held for you when they are purchased or returned. You will receive a phone call when the item is ready for you to pick up at the library.
