Volunteer @ CLSV

The Community Library of the Shenango Valley strives to be a patron-focused resource center, enhancing the lives of people of all ages and backgrounds by providing outstanding materials, programs, and technology in a safe, inviting environment.

This mission could not be realized without a staff of dedicated volunteers willing to share their time and talents with the community. Volunteers are an integral part of our team and without them; we would not be able to offer outstanding service to our patrons.

If you are interested in volunteering at the library, please fill out a volunteer application and return it to the library. Applications are available at the front desk or at the link below.

Current Volunteer Opportunities at the Library:

  • Shelving: Put returned books back on the shelf so patrons can find them.

  • Dusting: Books make dust and it gets everywhere.

  • Shelf Reading: Keep the library in order by making sure books are properly shelved.

  • Program Prep Help: Help the libraries prep materials for programs.

  • CD Organizer: Help us keep our CDs in good order.

  • Children & Teen Shelving: Shelve books in the Teen and Children areas.

  • DVD Organizer: Put DVDs in order.

  • Decorator: Help our programming staff make seasonal decorations for the library.
