The library has a wide variety of materials available for borrowing.

PLEASE NOTE: DVDs and e-Readers may only be borrowed by adults over the age of 18 on an adult library card.

3-week loans:

Returning Materials

Materials may be returned at one of three locations

• Circulation desk in the library

• Book Drop on the side of the library in the parking lot

• Book Drop at the Hermitage City Building at 800 N Hermitage Road

Renewing Materials

Materials may be renewed for 3 weeks, except for DVDs. DVDs may be renewed for 1 week. Renewals may be made in person, over the phone, or online.

Reserving Materials

Patrons may reserve those materials that are currently checked out to another patron or that CLSV has not purchased yet. Reserves may be made in person, over the phone, or online through the patron's account. The patron will receive a phone call, text, or e-mail when the item is available to pick up in the library.

Fines and Fees
Our library provides materials free to take home, enjoy, and return with no cost to our patrons.  To help keep our shelves stocked with the materials, we charge fines or fees for materials that are returned late, materials that are lost or damaged, and for items printed/copied/faxed.  Please consider these fines and fees as donations to help the library maintain and increase the materials and services we provide to the community.  Listed below is a breakdown of the fines and fees.

Overdue fines:

• $0.25 per day for adult materials                  

• $0.10 per day for children’s materials

• $1.00 per day for DVDs

Fees:​

• $0.25 per side for printing black and white, $0.50 per side for color

• $0.25 per page for photocopying, single-sided

• $2.00 for the first page of fax, $1.50 for each page thereafter

• A $5.00 processing fee is added to the replacement cost of all materials lost or damaged
