Below are the Children's Programs offered at CLSV. All programs are free, and no registration is required unless stated. All materials are provided. Programs are updated monthly.​

Lego Club

Tuesdays, 4-6:30 PM

A fun, hands-on space where builders use their imagination to create, explore, and problem-solve with LEGO bricks. Builders of all skill levels are welcome!

Come celebrate with us as we mark the occasion of our Nation's 250th birthday - 1776-2026, when America gained its independence from England.  We will mark the day with food, music, crafts and stories surrounding this pivotal time in our history.

Dino I.D. Display- (Name the Dinosaur)

A display of Dino Silhouettes will be displayed throughout the library - this is a passive program that will last for one week starting today.  Various print outs of dinosaurs will be available for children to name popular dinosaurs.  An answer key will be provided as well to see how many you got correct.  Let's see how many dinosaurs you can name.  For children ages 6-12.

Create prehistoric landscapes and dinosaurs with building bricks, such as LEGOs.  We will help you to use pieces creatively and solve problems.  Finished products will be displayed in our LEGO cabinet for all to see!  For children ages 6-12.

Participants will create a small garden with dinosaur decorations and real or artificial plants.  Create beautiful gardens with dinosaur accents or have your dinosaur attack a gnome village or recreate famous dinosaur movie scenes!  For children ages 6-12.

Create unique garden stepping stones by using a variety of stones, gems, and/or seashells. Participants can bring home their stepping stones to add to their garden or the stepping stones can be created to decorate the library's outdoor space or other shared community space.  For children ages 6-12

Participants will paint a background, then make a dinosaur skeleton with different shapes of dried pasta.  For children ages 6-12.
